Selecting a Program
We recognize that each student that applies to our program has unique needs, and we strive to serve players of all ages and ability levels regardless of their background. If you are unsure about what level of courses to participate in, please reach out to our Festival Directors. In some cases, this means that students of exceptional ability and/or need will receive scheduling assistance to best serve their personal growth and overall festival experience, beyond the static definitions of our published class descriptions, especially the grade-level restrictions. Our mission as educators is to seek a seamless integration of artistic experiences for all students in a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes creativity, equality, diversity, and access.
Auditions
New applicants MUST submit a video recording of their playing within the past year that best demonstrates their current ability level. This will assist our faculty in crafting the most appropriate festival experience for each student. This is optional for returning applicants. Please feel free to send these directly to the festival directors at gwie@choate.edu.
